We are incredibly proud of our Multilingual Learners and the amazing growth they demonstrated this year on the ACCESS assessment! Every student showed progress, and nearly all met or exceeded the growth targets established by the state.

This achievement reflects the hard work, determination, and perseverance of our students, as well as the dedication and support of our entire school staff. From classroom teachers and specialists to support staff and administrators, it truly takes a team to help our students thrive.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who played a role in supporting our MLL students throughout the year.

Yesterday, some of our students enjoyed a special Sensory Day alongside our occupational and speech therapists! Through engaging activities, they practiced communication skills, self-regulation, and teamwork while having lots of fun. ☀️😊

With sunshine, warm weather, and plenty of smiles, it was a wonderful day filled with learning, laughter, and memorable moments!

🏆 Huge congratulations to the Smyrna Elementary STEP Team! 🏆

Our students recently participated in the National Noetic Learning Math Contest and earned an impressive achievement as the 2nd Place Team in Delaware! 🎉

Even more exciting, 5 of our students placed in the Top 50% nationwide among thousands of participants across the country. We are so proud of their hard work, dedication, and outstanding problem-solving skills!

🎉 Today was the DAY at our elementary school! 🎉

Our amazing staff and students showed up BIG and things got a little INK-redible! 😄✏️

Teachers bravely “tattooed” themselves and the creativity was off the charts! From silly designs to colorful masterpieces, our school was filled with laughter, school spirit, and lots of smiles today. 💙💛

A HUGE thank you to everyone who participated, donated, cheered us on, and helped make today so memorable. Our students and staff truly are the BEST around!

🚨🎉 The race to TATTOO A TEACHER has officially begun at Smyrna Elementary School! 🎉🚨

That’s right…our brave teachers are putting their arms (and possibly dignity 😂) on the line for Field Day!

Here’s how it works:
🎨 Students can purchase tattoos and choose WHICH teacher gets “decorated” with them.
📅 On Field Day — May 21 — teachers will proudly wear the tattoos chosen for them all day long!
🏆 The teacher with the MOST tattoos wins a prize (and probably endless bragging rights 😆).

Tattoo Prices:
✨ Small Tattoos — $1
✨ Medium Tattoos — $3
✨ Large Tattoos — $5

And if you’re wondering… YES! Outside supporters can join the fun and purchase tattoos too! 🙌
