Exciting news….we can’t wait for the tea room to open in the Creek House. Stay tuned…

Our time at the Sanders House has come to an end. June is our last month in this location. We will be closed for the month of July and reopen August 8th in our new location. We are excited about the opportunities that await us in our new home! We are grateful for the opportunity to have brought our dream to life over the last year in the beautiful Sanders House. We have served some amazing food, made many lifelong friends, and we hope to continue all of this in our new place! We have big plans for the future of Miss Polly's, and our hope is that you will all continue to support and join us! Our new location will be 1399 Sam Davis Road in Smyrna. We will be located on the grounds of The Sam Davis Home! We will have plenty of parking, two restrooms, room for larger gatherings, a gorgeous outdoor space, and we will be completely handicap accessible! So many wonderful things will make our place even better to serve our community. We are thankful for your continued support. As always, come see us!

Happy World Bee Day. World Bee Day shines a light on the habitat of pollinators in order to improve the conditions for their survival so that bees and other pollinators may thrive. The date May 20th was chosen to highlight this day as it was the day Anton Janša, a pioneer of modern apiculture, was born in 1734. Tennessee is home to over 300 species of native bees. At the Historic Sam Davis Home we also keep hives of honeybees that help pollinate our fields and produce delicious honey that we sell in our gift shop. 🐝

Due to large field trips onsite, our guided tour hours will be modified on Wednesday May 20 with the first guided tour beginning at 12 noon.

We have some tickets available for our "Behind the Ropes" after hours tour tomorrow evening!

These tours are a perfect opportunity to have exclusive access to the Davis home and grounds and to learn more about work we are doing to commemorate our upcoming centennial in 2030! We will talk about our current project to restore the Davis home and our efforts to learn more about those who lived and worked here after the Civil War.
