Dear Valley Sanitation Customer,

We recently acquired a second garbage truck to assist us in better serving you. With this new truck, we will need your help in order to make this a smooth transition.

First off, you will need to make sure your trash is out first thing in the morning. One of the main goals of our new truck is to reduce how late our employees are out working each day. Running a second truck will speed things along which will require you to have your trash out sooner than you have in the past. If you have your trash out first thing in the morning it will prevent you from missing the truck and not having your trash picked up that week.

Second, our new truck is an automatic side load. This means you need to use one of our trash cans and can no longer use the smaller store bought cans. You will need to make sure the front of your can is facing the road on pick up day. The front is where the lid opens and closes, not the handles. This will ensure that the truck is able to pick up your can and dump it properly into the truck.

Finally, the side load will not allow you to have a bunch of extra stuff next to your can. You will need to do all you are able to get all of your trash to fit into your can, this may include breaking down your boxes. If you find that you consistently have more trash than you are able to fit into your can, then it’s time you get a second can to accommodate your trash needs.

We are excited about this opportunity to not only help reduce the late night hours our employees are currently working, but to better serve more of you.

Just for future reference the only holidays we DON'T work are Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years. You can count on us picking up your trash for every other one. Thank you for your business!
