Again , the dumpster is for limbs and tree debris only! No trash is to be allowed in this dumpster! That includes trash, appliances, tires, remodeling trash or anything else. This is a free service and please don’t screw it up!
Have also received word that citizens don’t think the park is being cleared quick enough, by all means go help! We have someone to mow the park and no real park maintenance of the park! Any help would be appreciated!

Eco-Waste has graciously donated the use of a 40 yard dumpster for the citizens to use for any LIMB DEBRIS ONLY, please! No trash, no tires, no appliances will be accepted in this dumpster! It will remain until full!

If any Smolan residence need assistance with tree removal, they can call the number on the Saline County Emergency Management website and sign up for crews to come out and do tree removal. Last I heard, there were over 150 work orders out there for assistance. They will be out on a list, and they will come. The Ministry that I (Tom) work with from Tupelo MS, Eight Days of Hope, is sending teams up here to help. I (Tom) have been visiting with Saline County Emergency Manager several times today, and they are willing to help.

Well surprise surprise the mail guy is in town!

Hope everyone is safe from the storm last night and everyone has power again! There will be no trash service for today, Tuesday, June 9, 2026! We have not heard if it will be scheduled for another day this week or just picked up next week!
The mail service will probably be iffy to as Lindsborg took a hit like we did!
Also if you need to are needing to remove limbs and want to use the dumpster, all council members have a key! You can only put tree limbs and grass clippings in there! Be respectful and put them in the ring and make sure you lock up after using the site! This is only to be used for Smolan residents! The City of Salina dump also takes tree limbs and that is a free service! They are closed today!
