Happy Birthday America. That's 250 years of the unbeatable American spirit. There is so much we need to fix, mostly gettin rid of politicians, but our people can get it done.

I hope everyone has a safe and happy 4th of July. Thank you to all the first responders on duty today.

Come out and enjoy the Hoxie Community Fest. There are so many people working hard to bring good things to the City of Hoxie. This is a great way to help grow a community in the right direction. I'll be there on the move, so bring your hard questions about how I plan to deliver a more effective, proactive, and constitutionally sound Lawrence County Sheriff's Office to our people.

This should have happened from the start. In fact, there should not have been a start for this man defending his child.
Yet, one of the Lawrence County Sheriff's senior leadership said open in our Clerks Office "he need's to be in prison".
This is the exact same low standards "we do what we want" law enforcement all across Arkansas. These same problems are letting actual predators walk and putting communities at risk.
I ask that you give me the opportunity to show all Lawrence County what a true servant of the people looks like November 3rd, 2026.

It's time for our elected Sheriff's to stand behind the oath they took. This man is absolutely upholding his oath by standing up to the courts. Lawrence County deserves this type of servant and I humbly ask for your vote November 3rd, 2026 so I can serve our people the right way.

A Las Vegas sheriff is defying a court order to release a career criminal with 35 prior arrests, sparking a legal standoff over public safety and judicial authority.

Sheriff Kevin McMahill refused to release 36 year old Joshua Sanchez-Lopez after a judge granted him house arrest for a grand larceny charge in early 2026.

The suspect has a lengthy criminal record in Las Vegas, Nevada, including a conviction for involuntary mansla*ghter.

McMahill argued that the suspect poses an unreasonable risk to the community and has a history of cut ankle monitors.

In a previous incident, Sanchez-Lopez allegedly posted a photo of his discarded electronic monitor on social media after fleeing from police.

The sheriff’s department filed a petition with the Nevada Supreme Court to clarify who has the final word on inmate releases.

The suspect's defense attorney maintains that the sheriff is overstepping his legal bounds by ignoring a judge's directive.

As of May 2026, the Nevada Supreme Court is reviewing the case to determine if law enforcement can legally block court ordered releases.

Sanchez-Lopez remains in custody while the high court weighs the balance between defendant rights and executive authority.

The ruling is expected to set a major precedent for the Nevada justice system.

Thank you to the Saffell Volunteer Fire Department for allowing me to attend their meeting last night. Great conversations with even greater people who are always putting their community first.

Happy Mother's Day to all of the Mommas of Lawrence County, The Mother County.
As always with holidays let's remember every coin has two sides.

To so many, today is a hard day, as opposed to a day filled with smiles and happiness. Give each other some extra grace and understanding.
