Travel Advisory from the New York State Department of Transportation regarding Route 25 in Smithtown: Beginning Monday, September 14th, motorists should expect overnight lane closures between Kings Park Road and State Route 111 for a pavement renewal project.

The closures, which will last approximately two months, will be weeknights from 10:00 pm to 6 am on weeknights. The work will necessitate the closure of two lanes in either direction.

The work, according to the NYSDOT, is weather-dependent and subject to change.

Travellers should keep an eye out for electronic message boards near the work zone for updates and use caution around any work zones or change your route.
