Weather permitting, the Village of Smithton will be road oiling & chipping Monday, July 27th and Tuesday, July 28th. No parking on the streets during this time. Please move your vehicles, trailers or campers off the street prior to 7am Monday, July 27th. The map shows the streets to be oiled in town which include the area west of 159, north of Memorial, south of Klein, east of Lunch. Please try to avoid the area and do not drive on freshly oiled streets until the rock is spread. We appreciate your patience and cooperation as we work to improve our streets.

This includes the following streets: Bertille, Cortner, Elvira, Eugenia, Brevo, Fischer, West Franklin, Graner, Julia, Klein, Lincoln, Lunch, Memorial, Melinda, Ridge, Stahl, St. John, Stoerger, Sunset, and Weinel.

This happened in Millstadt last night. Lock your vehicles and don’t leave any valuables on the inside.

This morning, the police department took a report of a stolen black Dodge Ram pickup truck from the 100 block of Gladwyn Drive, in the Alpine Trails neighborhood. The vehicle was unlocked with the keys inside. Investigation has revealed this occurred around 2:30 this morning.

Additionally, at 11:40 p.m. last night police took a report of a hit and run traffic crash involving a parked vehicle in front of 4 Liederkranz, in the Alpine Meadows neighborhood.
