Smiths Station Freshman Center has been made aware of a social media post. Lee County Sherriff’s Office has been contacted and we are cooperating with them fully to ensure the safety of our students. The school was placed on “Heightened Awareness” due to an unrelated local incident this morning. We are currently under normal operating procedures.

Smiths Station Freshman Center went into a secured status (not a lockdown) due to an event in the community. Lee County Sheriff's Department responded and apprehended the suspect. The secured status lasted approximately 5 minutes and we are now in a normal state of operations.
