💦 🚨 UPDATE: this has been lifted as of 11am!

We are under a BOIL WATER ADVISORY until further notice due to the repairs being made in front of the pharmacy. I will update on the portal and on Facebook once the order has been lifted. If you are not logged in on the portal please come see me at the office and I will help make sure you get these alerts and other notifications when they need to be made!

Good morning, Smithland! As many of you are aware there is a leak in front of the pharmacy. We were able to locate the issue and are making repairs at this time. You will experience a temporary loss of water pressure or temporary loss of water during the repair process. This will not cause any disruptions to the High School. We are working to get this repair completed as quickly as possible and apologize for the inconvenience. Thank you, City of Smithland.

💨 Smoke Testing 💨 will begin today and hopefully be completed this week! If you are in the testing area, you should have received a pink door tag like the one pictured below.

Boil Water Advisory has been lifted as of 9:20am on Tuesday 8/25/26

💦 🚨 The repair has been completed, water is being turned back on as we speak and we are now under a BOIL WATER ADVISORY until further notice.

🚨 Attention City of Smithland!! 🚨
Due to a main line break, you will experience low water pressure or a temporary water outage. We are working to get this repaired as quickly as possible! Once the repair has been made we will most likely have a Boil Water Advisory and I will get back on here to notify you when the repair is made, when/if there is a boil order and when it is lifted.

Boil Water Advisory still remains in effect for Smithland and we will notify everyone as soon as we get the all clear but the repair has been completed!

💧 WATER SERVICE UPDATE — REPAIRS COMPLETE

Repairs are complete, and the repaired line has now been holding for the last few hours.

Because CLWD experienced a similar situation yesterday, when the line began leaking again shortly after the initial repair, we wanted to give it some additional time before giving the “ALL CLEAR” on the repair.

I just checked on the situation, and everything continues to look good. The line is holding, and the water tanks are slowly filling back up.

⚠️ SMITHLAND: A Boil Water Advisory will remain in effect for approximately 24–48 hours. Please continue to follow the advisory until you are officially notified that it has been lifted.

As the tanks continue to refill, please remain mindful of your water usage for a little while longer.

A big THANK YOU to the CLWD crews and everyone who has worked together over the last couple of days to get us through this situation. It has taken a lot of coordination, patience, and hard work.

CLWD and I also want to thank all of the customers who have been affected for your patience and understanding throughout this situation. We truly appreciate your cooperation as crews worked to get everything repaired and service restored.
