Johnston County FOP Lodge 88 This is for citizens of our community and fellow law enforcement officers to see what our local lodge is doing for our community.

The Fraternal Order of Police (FOP) is a labor union consisting of sworn law enforcement officers in the United States. It reports a membership of over 325,000 members organized in 2100 local chapters (lodges), organized into local lodges, state lodges, and the national Grand Lodge. The union attempts to improve the working conditions of law enforcement officers and the safety of those they serve

through education, legislation, information, community involvement, and employee representation. The FOP is a trade union and a Fraternal Organization, having both Labor Lodges & Fraternal Lodges and describes itself as a "full service member representation organization." It lobbies Congress and regulatory agencies on behalf of law enforcement officers, provides labor representation, promotes legal defense for officers, and offers resources such as legal research. It also sponsors charities, memorials for fallen officers, and support programs for spouses and family members of police officers.

There it is folks! Stop asking your local moms groups or yard sale pages; straight from the ones who have to be out there in it, the roads are not safe. Stay home!

We are & will continue to be praying for the safety of our first responders, medical staff & especially our linemen who have to be out there in it.

We can't say thank you enough to all the officers, members, volunteers, & participants who made this year's Johnston County FOP Cops & Kids™ a HUGE success; with the help of members, volunteers, officers & supporters like YOU, we were able to create some Christmas magic for 50 kids from right here in our community.. & we even had a little surprise for them; who knew how many smiles we would see when Paw Patrol's very own Chase was on the Christmas Shopping Case!

We would like to extend a special thank you to the Boys & Girls Club of Johnston County, the North Carolina State Highway Patrol, Clayton Police Department, Smithfield Police Department, Selma Police Department, Johnston County ABC, Fuquay Varina Police Department, Wilson's Mills Fire Department, & volunteers from the Junior Women’s League, Delta Waterfowl, Johnston County Bourbon Society, Amazon RDU 2, & Wilson's Mills Baptist Church for making this year extra special. Last but certainly not least, we would like to extend another huge thank you to Scooter's Coffee for providing coffee & snacks, & the Smithfield Walmart for being such a gracious host this year and for many years past. We couldn't have done this without yall & we look forward to collaborating again!
