What a sweet celebration!

Today, the Isle of Wight Chamber of Commerce was honored to welcome Aurora’s Bakery to its new home in Smithfield with an official ribbon cutting ceremony.

Owner Eunice Ortiz Carrucini has turned a dream into reality through her passion, hard work, and incredible baking talent. Many in our community first discovered her delicious breads and baked goods at the local farmers market, where her products quickly became a customer favorite.

We are grateful to the community members, business leaders, and local officials who joined us to celebrate this exciting milestone. Congratulations, Eunice! We look forward to supporting Aurora’s Bakery as it continues to grow and serve our community.

Aurora's Bakery is holding its soft opening today from 7:00 AM–12:00 PM, and trust me, you'll want to stop by...107 Institute Street, Ste B; Smithfield, VA 23430.

So much love, dedication, and hard work has gone into opening this family-owned bakery. What makes this story even sweeter is that Aurora’s started at the Farmers Market and has continued to grow because our community keeps showing up, supporting local businesses, and helping them thrive. It's a wonderful example of what can happen when people choose to shop local and invest in their neighbors.

I picked up my treats this morning and have already sampled them all. Delicious!

One year ago, we celebrated the ribbon cutting for Smithfield Fit Body Boot Camp and what an incredible first year it has been!

On May 9th, owners Edmo and Karina, along with their amazing team, chose to celebrate their 1-year anniversary by giving back to the community in a big way. Their “GoHAM” 5K brought together more than 200 attendees, with all proceeds benefiting local charity VA Smithfield Events.

It was a fantastic event filled with energy, community spirit, and generosity. We love seeing businesses not only thrive, but also invest back into the community they call home.

Congratulations to Fit Body Boot Camp on an amazing first year in business! We wish you many more successful years ahead and look forward to watching your continued growth and impact in our community.

Today, we honor and remember the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country. Their courage, dedication, and selflessness have protected the freedoms we enjoy every day.

This Memorial Day, the Isle of Wight Chamber of Commerce encourages our community to pause in gratitude for those who gave their lives for our nation and to keep their families in our thoughts.

What a wonderful evening at our Ladies of Leadership event last night at SummerWind Vineyard! We had a great turnout, meaningful dialogue, and an engaging program presented by Edward Jones representative Johanna Wiggins. Thank you, Johanna!

The conversations and connections shared among the ladies made for an inspiring night of leadership and encouragement.

If you missed it, we’re sorry we didn’t get to see you but we look forward to having you join us at our next Ladies of Leadership event in August!
