Water Rate Case Final Decision

The Public Service Commission has decided to allow Slinger Utilities to do a two part phase in for the new water rates and lower the overall percent of increase.

This morning we received the final order by the Public Service Commission for the water rate case. The new water rates will be split into two phases over the next two years. The overall increase for both phases was lowered to 60.37 percent from the previous 75.89 percent. The first rate increase will occur on the September bills for the August usage. A message will also be sent out in the July utility bills to notify everyone of this change.

For clarification, only the water and fire charges went up in this rate case, the sewer charges are staying the same.

We also want to say THANK YOU to everyone that sent in comments and joined in during the public hearing call. We wouldn't have been able to have the phase-in rate option and lower rate if it wasn't for the community.

The entire final order document will be located on the Village website, under recent news.

I-41/WIS 60 Interchange Update.

This is the latest update on the I-41/WIS 60 Interchange project for June 8-11th.

The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) is rehabilitating the I-41 interchange at WIS 60 in the village of Slinger, Washington County. Construction is scheduled to be completed in the fall of 2026. The following work is scheduled to take place as part of this project.

🌽🥕 The first Slinger Farmers Market of the season is this Sunday (6/7) from 8:00 AM–12:00 PM! Located in the Sippie Hippie parking lot.

Come shop fresh produce, baked goods, handmade items, and more while supporting local vendors. We still have vendor spots available for anyone interested in joining us this season.

We look forward to seeing everyone this Sunday at the Slinger Farmers Market! ☀️

Public Open House - Tuesday, June 9th 4:30 - 6pm
Slinger Village Hall - 300 Slinger Rd., Slinger

Join us for a drop-in style open house to review the Village of Slinger's Draft Comprehensive Outdoor Recreation Plan (CORP) & Maps, hosted by the Village of Slinger and consultants Vandewalle & Associates.

The purpose of the CORP is to provide a roadmap to help guide the Village's recreational development for the next 20 years. CORPs are required to be updated every 5 years for a community to remain eligible for grants from the State. The plan takes an inventory of existing park facilities, recommends new facilities, and evaluates community needs for recreational programming and park amenities.
