It is getting to be that time of year when calls start to come in asking when “Trick or Treat” will be held. Slinger always holds it on the last Saturday of October from 5-7pm. This year, Trick or Treat actually falls on Halloween and will take place on Saturday, October 31st from 5-7pm. 🎃

Homecoming 2026 is this Friday, September 25th! The tailgate party at Community Park with live music and food starts at 3:30 and parade is at 4:30! Let’s pack the streets and show the kids our support!

The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) is rehabilitating the I-41 interchange at WIS 60 in the Village of Slinger, Washington County. Construction is scheduled to be completed in the Fall of 2026.

The following overnight full-freeway closures are scheduled as part of this project. The freeway is scheduled to reopen to traffic during the day.

Monday, September 21 - Thursday, September 24 from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.
• Northbound I-41 between WIS 145 and WIS 60 is scheduled to close for deck work
Thursday, September 24 from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.
• Southbound I-41 between WIS 33 and WIS 145 is scheduled to close for bridge painting
Friday, September 25 - Saturday, September 26 from 9 p.m. to 8 a.m.
• Southbound I-41 between WIS 33 and WIS 145 is scheduled to close for bridge painting

Detours:
→ Northbound I-41: Motorists are encouraged to use WIS 145, US 45 and WIS 60 to get around the closure
→ Southbound I-41: Motorists are encouraged to use WIS 33, WIS 175 and WIS 145 to get around the closures

Please note, the Slinger Police Department has officially moved into their new building.

The Slinger Police Department has moved! We are now located at 800 Enterprise Drive in Slinger. We are still navigating the transition to the new building, and are extremely appreciative of the Village's support to make this project a reality.

Our medication drop box is still located at 300 Slinger Road. If the location of the drop box changes, it will be announced.

Information regarding a ribbon cutting ceremony and open house will come when it is available.

Normal traffic operations will resume during the day on I-41.

I-41 southbound between WIS 33 and WIS 145 is scheduled to close overnight for WIS 60 bridge work.
• The entrance ramps to I-41 southbound from WIS 33, County K, and WIS 144 are scheduled to close from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m.
Friday, September 18 from 9 p.m. to 8 a.m.:
I-41 southbound between WIS 33 and WIS 145 is scheduled to close overnight for WIS 60 bridge work.
• The entrance ramps to I-41 southbound from WIS 33, County K, and WIS 144 are scheduled to close from 8 p.m. to 8:30 a.m.
Detour:
→ I-41 Southbound: Motorists are encouraged to use WIS 33, WIS 175 and WIS 145 to get around the closure.
