Members and friends of Sligo VFD. I, Shyanne, will be at the company tonight doing office work and some cleaning. Stop by and say hello, touch base, or come bring the kids down to just take a look at the trucks.

I will be doing office hours from 6:30pm -8pm.

Okay guys summer is over (basically) so back to the grind and posts. I would like to start doing the weekly updates about things going on in our area and surrounding areas….. please let me know what all you would like to see. Some things will be fire company related, others will be community related.

A moment that changed the world,
a moment nobody should have to worry about
today September 11 2026 we remember all the fallen heroes
We remember the
:343 lost firefighters
:72 law enforcement officers
:8 ems personnel
:55 military personnel
:and the 2977 civilians that lost there lives on 9-11

On 9/11/2001 the first heartbreaking call was made at 8:19 am at 8:46 am fight 11 crashed into the north tower
At 9:03 am flight 175 struck the south tower and after 10 horrible months of ground zero on 5/30/2002 this was ruled as the biggest attack on the USA. Today we remember everyone who was killed in these horrible times and every hero that made it threw

We will forever carry forward the spirit and unity that happend on 9/11

It’s National Emergency Services Day.

The EMTs.
The paramedics.
The firefighters.
The police officers.
The dispatchers.
The emergency room teams.

They meet people on the worst days of their lives.

Car accidents.
Heart attacks.
Fires.
Missing children.
Calls no family ever wants to make.

They miss dinners.
Birthdays.
Holidays.
Bedtimes with their own kids.

Because someone else’s emergency doesn’t care what day it is.

You might only know them for 10 minutes.

But those 10 minutes might be the reason you get the rest of your life.

Today is for the ones who answer the call.

This is a wonderful place to go to get your emt!!!! Very hands on in person classes!!!!

We have extended the application deadline to noon on Monday September 14, 2006. Class is limited to 12 students. Email Michelle for application.
