Worth your time watching!! It’s refreshing to have a candidate base like this for St. Tammany. Thank you to each of these candidates for your willingness to serve in one of the most important roles of our parish. May God bless each of you abundantly.

The four candidates include retired Louisiana State Police Col. Robert Hodges, U.S. Marshal Scott Illing, retired St. Tammany deputy David Maki, and Slidell Police officer Daniel Seuzeneau.

Please join us in praying for President Cooper to make a full recovery 🙏🙏

I want to share a personal health update with our community.

After undertaking a stress test several weeks ago, I scheduled an angiogram to remove a detected blockage of a major artery of my heart. That procedure was performed last Tuesday, and a stent was successfully placed.

I had planned to spend last week recovering at home before returning to work today. Unfortunately, I experienced an unexpected setback when I suffered a mild stroke, resulting in some numbness in my left hand and arm that I continue to experience.

After thorough testing and an overnight hospital stay, I was discharged Friday evening and have been home resting and recovering. I am incredibly thankful for the medical professionals who cared for me, and especially for Catherine, whose encouragement convinced me to undergo the initial stress test. I am counting my blessings and I am very grateful for her!

At my doctors' direction, my schedule will be noticeably lighter over the next few weeks. My time in the office, meetings and official events will be limited as I focus on getting healthy and making a full recovery.

I also want our residents to know that the work of St. Tammany Parish Government continues. I have complete confidence in my leadership team, the Parish Council and our employees at Koop Drive, who remain focused every day on providing our citizens with the highest level of service and results.

I appreciate your prayers, encouragement and understanding as I take this time to recover. I look forward to getting back to my normal pace soon.

There is still much work to do in the next 15+ months of this administration and together we will FINISH STRONG!

LACAG ALERT- PASS IT ALONG

The Alliance for Good Government has officially endorsed independent professional engineer Chris Justin for the Louisiana Public Service Commission (LPSC) District 1seat.

The Alliance recognized a stark contrast in leadership when it comes to who will actually look out for your wallet.

When asked if she would refuse campaign cash from the very monopoly utility companies she is running to regulate, Justin’s opponent,State Rep. Stephanie Hilferty, refused to make that commitment—stating she would only stop taking their money if a law forced everyone else to stop too.

That isn’t leadership; that’s the status quo protecting itself.

Public campaign disclosures reveal that nearly 42% of Hilferty’s campaign funding flows directly from utility company PACs, energy corporations, and executive lobbyists.

Is it fair to ask whether she can effectively protect Louisiana ratepayers when such a direct conflict of interest exists?

Meanwhile, Chris Justin is leading by example right now:

Taking $0 from monopoly utilities companies and their corporate PACs.

Proposing a statewide rule to ban all regulated utility donations to commissioners.

Bringing actual technical expertise as a professional engineer and former PSC consultant to fight unfair rate hikes.

True accountability starts before the election, not after the utility checks are cashed. On November 3, 2026, reject politics as usual. Vote for unbought, independent leadership. Vote for Chris Justin.
