Another one runs for the hills!!!
The members of our PBA would like to congratulate Sergeant Paul Nelson on his well deserved retirement. Sergeant Nelson joined our department in 2005 after working as a corrections officer for the NY state prisons. During his time in our department he was known as the enforcer and the officer who stressed being a para military type of department.

For a few years you’d see him riding the bicycle on bike patrol and he would often enforce commercial vehicle violations. He was an FBI fi****ms instructor, a sergeant for 11 yrs, a general topics instructor at the academy, and a taser instructor. While on patrol he started the CARES program (Cops Abling Residents) where he’d donate his own money to families he’d come across during patrol who were in need.
Sergeant Nelson, we will miss your humor, your leadership, your strict and structured work ethic. Our department is now down three of our best and although we want to keep you with us, we know you are ready to enjoy your well deserved retirement. Congratulations!

🚨 TRAFFIC ADVISORY 🚨

Today, members of the Sleepy Hollow PBA and surrounding law enforcement agencies will be participating in the Law Enforcement Torch Run benefiting Special Olympics New York.

Motorists should expect minor traffic interruptions and delays along North Broadway between approximately 1:15 PM and 1:45 PM as runners pass through the area. Please use caution and plan travel accordingly.

We encourage residents to come out, cheer on your local police departments, and help support an incredible cause promoting inclusion and opportunity for Special Olympics athletes.
