The Sleepy Eye Police Department and Sleepy Eye PUC wish to thank Luke and his crew from Carolina Signaling Enterprises for their hard work and willingness to help us with the Thunderbolt Siren on the PUC Building. For the first time in 4 or 5 years the siren is rotating again. It is difficult to find anyone that has the knowledge and ability to work on the old sirens. Luke and his crew specialize in Thunderbolt Sirens and contacted the PD as they were in the north part of the county. The crew drove up from South Carolina to work on some different projects and were able to fit us in with their schedule. We hope to have them back again next year to work on the sound quality and plan for a full restoration to the original look and quality in the future.

WE ARE HIRING! CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE
The City of Sleepy Eye is seeking a full-time customer service representative at City Hall. Duties will include obtaining a motor vehicle certification for the purpose of renewing motor vehicle tabs, title transfers and other DMV activities. Collecting accounts receivable for the City of Sleepy Eye and Sleepy Eye Utilities, and other accounting/bookkeeping/administrative activities along with other duties that may be assigned.
Applicant should possess a working knowledge of general accounting procedures and be proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel and be able to work well with the public.
Salary range is $22.00-$25.00 per hour.
