⚾️ BIG NEWS for Sleepy Eye baseball fans… Fox 9 Town Ball is coming to Sleepy Eye on June 24th!

This is a huge spotlight moment for our community, our ballpark, and the volunteers and players who keep town ball traditions alive in small towns like ours. There’s just something special about summer nights at the ballpark in Minnesota…and now the rest of the state gets to see it too.

Mark your calendars and let’s pack the stands and show them how Sleepy Eye does Town Ball!❤️⚾️

We are just over a month away from FOX9's Town Ball Tour!

Wednesday, June 24th, FOX9 will takeover the city of Sleepy Eye to show off our ballpark and our community!

This will be an all-day event in the community and FOX9 will highlight city attractions and businesses as part of its programming throughout the day during their morning, noon, and evening broadcasts. The Sleepy Eye Baseball Association has been working with representatives from KMSP/FOX9 and the City of Sleepy Eye to plan a fun-filled day in Sleepy Eye!

Admission to the ball game is FREE to all to attend the Town Ball Tour. The Baseball Association is looking to pack the ballpark with fans to show the FOX9 audience how strong Sleepy Eye truly represents “Baseball Country”. Only seven communities are selected per summer to host this event. Each city puts together different features and events to highlight their ball teams and city. Please come on out and enjoy an exciting day in town and pack Sleepy Eye Ballpark for the main events with evening broadcasts at 5 and 6 pm! We have our coach pitch and rookies teams taking the field from 4-5pm and 5-6pm

The remaining itinerary for the Town Ball Tour in Sleepy Eye has a lineup of exciting events which is currently being finalized. Plans are in the works for FOX9 to visit area businesses during morning and noontime newscasts, with local baseball personnel being interviewed in the evening broadcasts.

Lastly, we will be giving away items throughout the game(s) with Minnesota Twins tickets, Mankato Moondogs tickets, Mankato Habaneros tickets, and St. Paul Saints tickets. We will be adding to this list, but we hope to encourage you to come enjoy this fun filled event!
