Shoutout to the team at Old Mill Pub for showing up in a big way for our community! 🍔✨
It’s always wonderful to see our local businesses investing time and energy into our students. Benjamin D Dore and Michael Bruce recently spent their time supporting the amazing REACH After School Program. Check out the photos to see them in action!
Thank you for being such an active part of Skowhegan and for all that you do to support our youth.

📢 Skowhegan Residents: The Future is in Your Hands! 🗺️

After three years of hard work, public surveys, and community planning, the draft for the 2025 Skowhegan Comprehensive Plan Update is officially complete and ready for your review!

🔗 Read the full draft here: https://www.skowhegan.org/DocumentCenter/View/6902/2025-Skowhegan-Comprehensive-Plan-?bidId=

What is a Comprehensive Plan? Think of this document as Skowhegan’s master instruction manual for the next ten years. It is a voter-approved guide—not a new law or ordinance. It does not change private property rights or raise taxes. Instead, it serves as a roadmap that binds town government to the goals you choose, ensuring your tax dollars are spent efficiently on economic development, housing, and infrastructure.

What’s Next?
Before this goes to a final vote at Town Meeting, the Selectboard will be hosting a formal Public Hearing to hear your feedback, take comments, and answer questions.

🗓️ Date: Tuesday, May 26, 2026
⏰ Time: 5:30 PM
📍 Location: Municipal Building, Council Room

This is your opportunity to look at the blueprint for our town’s future—from downtown revitalization and the Skowhegan River Park to protecting our rural spaces and managing municipal infrastructure. Come ask questions, get the facts, and see how we are working to grow Skowhegan responsibly while easing long-term tax pressure.

See you there!
