A VERY SPECIAL THANK YOU, IN MEMORY OF ROBIN ZELONIS
Some donations touch our hearts in an especially meaningful way, and this is certainly one of them.

Robin Zelonis was well known and loved within the quilting community, and her passing has left her deeply missed by so many. Before she passed away, Robin had begun creating a beautiful quilt. After she left this earth, a wonderful group of her friends came together to finish what Robin had started.

They completed her quilt with love, raffled it in her memory, and generously chose to donate the proceeds to Somerset Humane Society to help the animals in our care. 🐾❤️

The raffle raised an incredible $850!

There is something so special about Robin's friends taking a beautiful piece of work that she began, finishing it together, and allowing it to become a gift that will now help animals in need. We are incredibly honored and humbled to be the recipient of such a meaningful tribute.

To Robin's friends, and to every single person who purchased a raffle ticket, helped finish the quilt, supported the raffle, or contributed in any way......thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

It’s time to start planning those costumes because the Barktoberfest Doggie Costume Contest is BACK! 🐶👻

Join us Sunday, October 4th at Bigelow Brewing Company for one of our favorite and definitely one of the most enjoyable parts of Barktoberfest!

🏆 PRIZES WILL BE AWARDED FOR:

🥇 1st Place – $150 cash + doggie goodie bag

🥈 2nd Place – $100 cash + doggie goodie bag

🥉 3rd Place – $75 cash + doggie goodie bag

Special Categories (prize for each: $50 cash + doggie goodie bag each):

✨ Best Duo -can be owner & dog OR 2 dogs with coordinating costumes

🍔 Best Food-Inspired Costume – Hot dogs, tacos, pumpkins, beer mugs... So many possibilities!

Our panel of 3 judges will have the difficult job of choosing the winners, so bring your creativity and show us what you've got!

🐾🍻 CALLING ALL VENDORS — BARKTOBERFEST 2026! 🍻🐾

Want to showcase your business, crafts, products, or services at one of our favorite events of the year? Vendor spaces are still available for Barktoberfest! 🎃🐶

📅 Sunday, October 4, 2026
⏰ 12:00–5:00 PM
💲 Vendor Fee: Just $25 per space

We welcome local businesses, crafters, artisans, pet-related vendors, and others who would like to join us for a fun afternoon while supporting the animals at Somerset Humane Society! ❤️🐾

A few things to know:
🐾 Vendors are responsible for providing their own setup, including tents/canopies, tables, chairs, and any other supplies needed for their booth.
🐾 Electricity is not available.
🐾 Vendor spaces are $25 each.

Barktoberfest is a dog-friendly community fundraiser featuring live music, food, vendors, craft beer, raffles, and our always-popular Doggie Costume Contest! 🍂🐕🎶
