Most people spend their weekends relaxing.
Five members of Sisterdale Volunteer Fire Department, along with several other departments across Texas, spent theirs climbing through overturned vehicles, stabilizing complex crash scenes, and learning how to reach patients in some of the most challenging situations firefighters can encounter.
This past weekend, FF Kirby Marshall, FF Nick Randol, FF Justin Taylor, FF Tom Wertman, and FF Stephen Villanueva traveled to Waco, TX to attend an advanced vehicle extrication course hosted by Elm Mott VFD and taught by Republic Rescue, LLC at BYOT Auto Parts.
The vehicles in these photos may look extreme, but every scenario was built around a simple goal: giving firefighters more options when someone’s worst day becomes our emergency.
We’re incredibly proud of these members for giving up their time to continue learning, improving, and investing in the community they serve.
Thank you to Elm Mott Volunteer Fire & Rescue, Republic Rescue LLC, and BYOT Auto Parts in Waco, TX for an outstanding weekend of training.
Join us in thanking these members for dedicating their weekend to training and continuing to invest in the communities they serve 💪🚒
