Today, we honor Chief Chris Hecht. He was a leader, a mentor and a hero. To us, he was also a spark.

Chris was a founding member of our IST organization, driven by a deep-seated belief that our first responders need just as much care and support as the communities they protect. He never said "no" to a call for help, and his dedication to the Sister Bay/Liberty Grove Fire Department and Door County Emergency Services changed this peninsula forever.

We are proud to carry forward the mission he started. Thank you, Chief, for showing us what it means to lead with a servant’s heart. You are missed, but never forgotten. 🚒🚑

During this chilly weather, our Door County Fire Departments faced 2 house fires in the last 24 hours!

Our IST team was there to support them with Hot Coffee, Hot Chocolate and Sandwiches, even in the middle of the night. Our partners at Kwik Trip, Blue Horse Coffee and Piggly Wiggly came thru again, helping us turn around beverages and food in no time!

🚒🎃OPEN HOUSE 2025!🎃🚒

We welcome you to join us at our annual open house event on Saturday, October 25th from 10 AM - 2 PM. As a stop on Fish Creek's Jack O' Lantern Days, there will be fun kids games, a bounce house-slide combo and a bounce obstacle course, rescue demos, station tours, and food and beverages from local restaurants and stores on hand. Special guests include Door County EMS, Gibraltar PD, Door County Sheriff's Office, Door County CERT, and many MORE! This is a FREE event open to everyone!

It has been a busy afternoon and evening for our Northern Door Fire Departments. Our IST Team supported Baileys Harbor Fire and Rescue and other FD teams who were working on clearing a path to Cana Island....so many trees were down across the road trapping visitors.

We were VERY LUCKY to have the professional cooking support from the owners at Cornerstone Pub who took their time while the power was out to cook burgers and hotdogs!! Thanks Paul and Matt!!

We also had great support from Piggly Wiggly setting us up with some sandwiches and bug spray.
