Today was a wonderful day at Rosa Parks! We had our Cultural Day! So many parents, teachers and community members volunteered their time to spend time with our kids. Activities included taekwondo, building a microscope, building a computer, making pretzels, lefse and krumkaka, building a birdhouse, making a dream catcher, junk journaling, learning about the Marine Corp, painting, making ice cream, sun catchers, learning about the public library, puzzles, friendship bracelets, henna tattoos, building Pokémon, Dungeons and Dragons, traveling to Hawaii, making sensory kits and wands, weaving, crocheting, traveling to a state park, touring the sculpture walk, pizza making at Sunny’s Pizzería, Best boxing, soccer, volleyball, outside games for summer, summer computer safety, science experiments, learning to play the guitar, bingo, cupcake decorating with One Smart Cookie, beading, learning about wildlife and the importance of the buffalo, coding and Lego building. I know there were more but this list is truly incredible! The volunteers were amazing and the students were so engaged and amazing.

I am still smiling about all the opportunities our students had today! Thank your to everyone that made today amazing!
