We’re still celebrating!

Yesterday, our President and CEO, Michelle Lavallee, was officially inducted into the South Dakota Hall of Fame — an incredible and well-deserved honor.

During her speech, Michelle shared a powerful reminder that each of us has the ability to make a difference. Take a few minutes to listen to her inspiring words, and help us celebrate Michelle and the impact she continues to make in the lives of children and families across South Dakota.

Congratulations again, Michelle!

You are enough!

September is Su***de Prevention Month, and today is World Su***de Prevention Day.
CHS staff across the state took some time to fill our sidewalks with positive and hopeful messages for our kiddos, clients, coworkers and community members. Every message is a reminder that you matter, you are valued and you are never alone.

As we recognize Su***de Prevention Month, let’s continue to spread hope, check in on the people around us and remind one another that you are enough.

We’re not sure who had more fun at the fair—the kids or our staff! From carnival rides and games to plenty of laughs along the way, everyone had a blast soaking up all the excitement of the Central States Fair.

A huge thank you to the Central States Fair for opening their gates early and giving our kids the chance to experience all the joy that the fair brings. We’re grateful for your generosity and for helping make this special day possible!
