Voting laws are different in different states. It used to be that in Iowa if you had a certain type of criminal record, you couldn’t vote without special approval from the Governor. In 2020, the law in Iowa changed. Now, people with just about any kind of criminal conviction can vote as long as they’ve discharged their sentences.
