ure where diversity, equity, and inclusion are respected and intentionally valued by implementing thoughtful, practical, consistent, and innovative strategies that can serve as a model for those in the community. Vision:
The City of Sioux City will be a welcoming and inclusive community that recognizes and honors diversity and is free from prejudice, harassment, bigotry, and hate. It is desired that the City will:
-see the important and crucial value of the diversity in our community
will hold individuals accountable
-intentionally engage community members
-actively address barriers and systems that have a disparate impact on marginalized community members
-actively recruit and involve community members in the policy creation process so that all communities have access to achieve equitable outcomes and overall
-create a sense of belonging
