Simi Valley Samaritan Center Offering people with housing and food insecurities, supportive services essential to human dignity.

At the Samaritan Center, homeless and near homeless Clients can take a shower, get clean clothes, have something to eat, make phone calls, and receive mail and messages. Through active case work and outreach programs provided at the Center, Clients have access to public health nurses, abuse counseling, job recruitment, social workers and more. The Samaritan Center is here to help homeless Clients

help themselves to become productive members of the community. The insecurities of living without a home and the situations that contribute to this can leave people feeling very alone and without hope. The Samaritan Center exists to be a place where Clients can find the immediate assistance and developmental support they need in order to take the steps necessary to be responsible for their own lives. The Samaritan Center’s greatest strength is personal contact with each individual, assessing his or her needs and networking with other organizations to obtain the services and resources necessary for each Client.

Meet William, this month’s Client Feature at the Samaritan Center. ❤️

After facing a major health setback, homelessness, and an uncertain future, William is now looking ahead with renewed hope, with his faithful service dog Apollo by his side. With support from the Samaritan Center, William has secured two job opportunities and is working toward stable housing.

His message to others facing hard times is simple: “Don’t give up hope.”
