Final Update: The Eagle County and Jefferson County Sherriff’s Office bomb squads and the Silverthorne Police Department have completed their investigation of a bomb threat at The Block Hotel & Commons. No credible threat was found in the building, and there is no threat to the public. The Block Hotel & Commons and surrounding areas are no longer under evacuation or shelter-in-place orders. All individuals may leave their place of shelter and return to their buildings.
The Town of Silverthorne and Silverthorne Police Department prioritize community safety in all situations, and greatly appreciates the community’s patience and understanding as this investigation was completed.
El equipo de desactivación de bombas de la Oficina del Sheriff del condado de Eagle y Jefferson y el Departamento de Policía de Silverthorne han concluido su investigación sobre una amenaza de bomba en The Block Hotel & Commons. Update: 4:25 p.m. - Silverthorne’s shelter-in-place order has been lifted and community members may now leave their place of shelter. The Block Hotel & Commons is currently being cleared by bomb squads. Road closures will remain in place until the building has been cleared. Once the investigation is complete, we will share additional information with the community.

Update 3:30 p.m. - Due to a bomb threat reported in the area, after-school transportation and all afternoon programming at the Silverthorne Recreation Center have been canceled. This includes the Town of Silverthorne’s after-school transit from Silverthorne Elementary School to Silverthorne Recreation Center programs. Families are asked to pick up students directly from the school.
The Town of Silverthorne will provide updates as more information becomes available. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

Update: 2:51 p.m. - Summit Fire & EMS are working with the Silverthorne Police Department to evacuate River's Edge Condominiums directly ot the south and the Summit Blue subdivision directly to the north of The Block Hotel & Commons. All other buildings near The Block Hotel & Commons are under shelter-in-place orders.
Center Circle and Rainbow Drive in front of The Block Hotel & Commons are closed due to the investigation. A bomb squad from the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office is en route to assist the Silverthorne Police Department with the investigation.

All individuals inside the building have been evacuated. Residents are asked to use Rainbow Drive instead of Center Circle and to recreate in other areas of the Blue River Trail while Silverthorne Police complete their investigation.
