At 12:40 PM, members of Silverdale Volunteer Fire Company (SVFC) and Perkasie Fire Company were dispatched to the intersection of Blooming Glen Rd. and Souderton Rd. for a reported two-vehicle crash with possible entrapment.
Chief 59 arrived first on scene and quickly determined there was no entrapment, allowing the incident to be handled by Station 59 units.

Upon arrival, Rescue 59 secured both vehicles, mitigated any hazards, assisted with traffic control, and helped with scene cleanup.

Fortunately, no one involved sustained serious injuries.

This incident serves as an important reminder to use extra caution at the several challenging two-way stop intersections throughout Hilltown Township. Always take a moment to check for traffic, be mindful of limited visibility and blind spots, and never assume oncoming traffic can see you.

This afternoon, SVFC took ownership of additional Milwaukee battery-operated tools as part of our continued effort to replace outdated equipment and standardize with a brand that many of our mutual aid companies already utilize. This investment will help ensure our members have reliable, high-quality tools to better serve our community.
A special thank you to Angelo, pictured with us, the local Milwaukee representative at the Hilltown Home Depot, for his assistance throughout this process. We'd also like to thank Pete, a tool specialist with Milwaukee for partnering with us and providing generous discounts on this latest purchase.

We appreciate the support of our partners as we continue to invest in the safety of our firefighters and the service we provide to our community.

🚨🚨 At 7:47p.m. yesterday evening, Box 59-10 was dispatched to the 1700 block of Fairhill Rd, for a reported garage fire. While units were responding, a large column of black smoke was visible from the surrounding area.

Upon arrival, crews found a 30’x50’ garage fully involved. Firefighters quickly deployed hand-lines and master streams, bringing the fire under-control. Luckily no other structures were a risk of fire extension. Crews stayed on site for many hours for over-haul and hot spot extinguishment.

Unfortunately, the garage was a total loss. Our thoughts are with the homeowners during this difficult time. Thankfully, no injuries to civilians or emergency personnel were reported. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.

Yesterday evening, members of Silverdale Fire Company, along with six neighboring mutual aid companies, had the opportunity to participate in a pre-planning and tactical walkthrough at Blooming Glen Mennonite Church.

The evening was dedicated to familiarizing ourselves with the property, identifying key access points, and discussing emergency response strategies. Conducting these pre-planning exercises in daylight and under ideal conditions is invaluable, allowing us to be better prepared before an emergency ever occurs.

A sincere thank you to the staff at Blooming Glen Mennonite Church for their hospitality, informative tour, and willingness to answer every question throughout the evening.

It was a busy day for the Station 59 first-due area in the 100 block of Highview Road in Hilltown Township.

Multiple 911 calls were received reporting an explosion followed by a structure fire. Upon arrival, Chief 59 confirmed the residence had been completely leveled, with debris scattered across the property and neighboring homes. A Working Fire Dispatch was immediately requested, bringing additional personnel and apparatus to the scene while crews conducted a comprehensive assessment for hazards and ensured the scene was stabilized.

This incident showcased an outstanding collaborative effort among local, township, state, and federal agencies. We would like to thank all of our mutual aid partners for their professionalism and teamwork, including fire and EMS personnel from Hilltown, Dublin, Chalfont, Sellersville, Souderton, Telford, Chalfont/New Britain EMS, and North Penn Goodwill for their food/refreshments and temperature controlled lavatories and rehab apparatus.

One patient was transported by EMS with multiple burn and Class 2 injuries. Thankfully, no lives were lost.

Incidents like this serve as a reminder of the dedication and coordination required to protect our communities. Thank you to every responder who assisted throughout this challenging incident.

Little behind on social media posts. Last week, Silverdale Fire Company wrapped up a month-long training focused on proper victim location within a structure, along with coordinated fire suppression techniques.
The final evolution took place at the Upper Bucks Training Facility, where crews brought everything together under live fire conditions with live personnel.
A special thank you to the officers from Station 58 Trumbauersville Fire Company for managing and maintaining realistic fire conditions and serving as our live victims. Their support allowed our members to stay fully focused on the training objectives and ex*****on.
