Governor Kathy Hochul has issued a Statewide Burn Ban beginning today, October 2, 2025, until October 15, 2025, due to drought conditions and potential for wildfires.

🔥The Ban prohibits the starting of outdoor fires for the purpose of brush and debris disposal, as well as uncontained campfires, recreational fires, and open fires used for cooking. 🔥

The North Java Fire Company is hosting the 2021 Wyoming County Convention and is looking for teams to compete in water ball on July 18th @ 1pm. Out of county departments also welcome. Please respond to this post if interested in competing so we can have a rough idea on the number of teams. Feel free to contact Doug Wright with any water ball related questions.
