Amy Jo came to Housing Unlimited last week from Devine Intervention recovery program. She was excited to move in AND to receive this Welcome Home Basket courtesy of our volunteers. Though the home is under construction for renovations, she doesn't mind. In fact, she is happy to have her own space and move forward in her recovery!

Our Welcome Home Baskets are now urgently needed (this was our last one!). Please consider a Welcome Home Basket this Fall (we will need another 20+ between now and December! See link in comments!

While homelessness is dropping nationwide, Maryland is moving in the wrong direction 😳 A 17% increase in right here in our state is a sobering reminder that in order to see more progress in our communities, it’s going to take further intentional, sustained investment in affordable housing solutions at the local level🏡

At Housing Unlimited, we refuse to sit on the sidelines. For over 30 years, we have been doing the work one home at a time in Montgomery County, and right now we are on a mission to reach our 100th home. Every property we purchase is a direct response to a crisis that is growing in our own backyard.

Through Maryland's Community Investment (CITC) Program, eligible Maryland residents and businesses who donate to Housing Unlimited receive a equal to 50% of their contribution.

And every dollar of your donation goes directly toward providing quality, affordable housing for individuals in mental health recovery right here in Montgomery County🏡

Here's what you need to know before the December 31, 2026 deadline:
✅ Minimum contribution of $500 to participate
✅ 50% Maryland state tax credit on your donation
✅ Complete a short form and mail it with your check - both must share the same date
✅ Credits can be carried over for up to 5 years
