⚠️ Important Security Alert for Our Community ⚠️
We want to make everyone aware of an active phishing campaign currently targeting businesses and individuals in our area.
A local school’s email account was recently compromised, and attackers are now using that account to send malicious emails to people in their contact list. While this organization is not a client of ours, we believe it’s important to help keep our community informed and protected.
⚠️ What to Watch For:
• An email containing a link to “View Document”
• Clicking the link downloads a malicious file
The email may appear completely legitimate because it’s being sent from a real, compromised account!
⚠️ If You Receive One of These Emails:
• Do not click the link
• Do not open or run any downloaded files
• Delete the email immediately
• If you already opened or ran the file, contact us right away
This serves as an important reminder that even emails from trusted contacts can be dangerous when an account has been compromised. Cybercriminals are becoming increasingly sophisticated, and these attacks can happen to anyone.
