We are addressing necessary repairs to the southern retaining wall, playground equipment, and basketball court. No public access will be permitted until repairs are completed. PUBLIC NOTICE: Low-Flying Helicopter in Your Area

In the coming weeks, a low-flying helicopter carrying a hoop-shaped sensor will survey parts of southwestern New Mexico. The helicopter will fly back and forth over the survey area to help map groundwater and support long-term water planning. Flights will occur during daylight hours and follow strict safety procedures. The survey does not record communications, collect photographs, videos, or personal information.

This work is part of New Mexico’s Aquifer Mapping Program, led by the New Mexico Bureau of Geology and Mineral Resources at New Mexico Tech. Learn more: geoinfo.nmt.edu/resources/water/amp

AVISO PÚBLICO: Helicóptero Volando a Baja Altura en Su Área

En las próximas semanas, un helicóptero que volará a baja altura y transportará un sensor en forma de aro realizará estudios en partes del suroeste de Nuevo México. El helicóptero volará de un lado a otro sobre el área de estudio para ayudar a mapear las aguas subterráneas y respaldar la planificación hídrica a largo plazo. Los vuelos se realizarán durante las horas de luz del día y seguirán estrictos procedimientos de seguridad. El estudio no registra comunicaciones ni recopila fotografías, videos o información personal.

The NM Energy, Minerals, and Natural Resources Department has rescinded smoking, firework, campfire and open fire restrictions for non-federal, non-tribal and non-municipal lands in New Mexico, effective September 28, 2026. The public is urged to use fire cautiously and safely.
