💔🕊️ HEARTBREAKING UPDATE 🕊️💔

The Geary County Sheriff's Office has announced that Axel, the non-verbal autistic child reported missing from Junction City, Kansas, has been found deceased.

Axel was located during the early afternoon hours of June 6, 2026, following an extensive search that continued throughout the night and into the following day. He was transported to Stormont Vail Health – Flint Hills Campus, where he was later pronounced deceased.

What began as a desperate search united countless law enforcement officers, first responders, volunteers, neighbors, and community members who worked tirelessly in hopes of bringing Axel home safely.

Today, our hearts are broken for Axel's family and everyone who loved him.

💙 A little boy is gone too soon.
💙 A family is living every parent's worst nightmare.
💙 A community is mourning alongside them.

Please keep Axel's loved ones, the search teams, and everyone affected by this tragedy in your thoughts and prayers.

Rest peacefully, sweet Axel. You were loved beyond words, and you will never be forgotten. 🕊️💙

Sgt. Flores and our newest recruit Officer Najera, attended the Silver Consolidated Schools “Amazing Shake Competition”!

The "Amazing Shake" is a leadership and communication competition originally created by the Ron Clark Academy.
It's designed to help students build real-world professional and interpersonal skills through high-pressure, interactive scenarios; it is a gauntlet-style event with around 20 stations, followed by later rounds like networking exercises and even a catered lunch interview round for finalists.
