What’s in the first Farm Bill to make it out of the U.S. House since 2018? Thanks to Rep. Gabe Vasquez, it reduces red tape to improve ranches, lowers rural energy costs, gives land-grant tribal colleges easier access to USDA’s research programs, and more. The bill goes next to the Senate.

In the bill, Gabe directed the USDA to study the impacts on U.S. ranchers of our government’s prioritization of Argentinian beef over American beef. He also backed an amendment that would make pesticide companies legally accountable for negligence.

New Mexico families: money may be waiting for you. Since my administration created the state Child Tax Credit in 2023, families can save up to $637 per child. More than 240,000 families have cashed in since the credit launched.

Don't leave it on the table — find out here if your family qualifies at the link in the first comment.

What do you think? Does it matter? Does it make our choices too early, before we have all the information? Can we affect the attitudes of the Nation?

DPNM and Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham just presented to the Democrats Rules and Bylaws Committee, making our case to become the first state to hold its presidential primary in the Southwest!

For years, New Mexico has exemplified what the Democratic Party stands for and done the organizing to help Democrats win elections across every level of government. From free college, universal early childcare, to helping keep healthcare affordable amid steep federal cuts, New Mexico Democrats have turned election victories into policy outcomes that help our families in real, meaningful ways.

But despite our election successes and innovative policies, New Mexico’s late primary date has all but guaranteed that our voters are a non-factor in presidential primaries. As one of the most diverse, rural, working-class, and blue states in the country, we believe that our voters should have a say in who the Democratic presidential candidate is, and that candidates should have to earn our votes.

Here is Pete Dinelli's report on the candidates. He does not endorse either but provides links to all the relevant statements and platforms and advises voters to make a serious consideration as it is likely (though not certain) one of them will be our Governor. For our Independent and DS friends voting this year, please note that they have some significant differences below the surface rhetoric and TV ads.

On Tuesday, June 2, 2026, the semi open primary election will take place in New Mexico. This is the first semi-open primary in New Mexico history where independent voters can choose either the Repu…
