🎨📸 We’re kicking off Art in Education Week with these amazing “Half Selfies”! Students took a photo of themselves, cut it in half, and used their observational drawing skills to complete the other half of their face. Along the way, they practiced proportion, value, and attention to detail. Some students even went the extra mile by creating creative backgrounds to complete their artwork! ✨🖌️

What a fun way to celebrate the creativity, skills, and self-expression that art brings to our classrooms! 👏🎨

🚲Learning Spanish is getting students moving! Our students participated in “Spanish on a Bike,” practicing their Spanish speaking skills while pedaling on stationary pedal sets. This fun, interactive activity gets students moving while building confidence and putting their language skills into practice! 💬👏

Learning a new language has never been more active! 🚲✨

🧠✨ Putting executive function skills into action! Our students participated in a poster contest focused on strategies to improve task initiation and build flexible thinking. Through creativity and collaboration, students shared practical strategies to help themselves and others tackle challenges, get started, and adapt when plans change. 💡🎨

We want to make sure you are getting the information you need from Siloam Springs Schools.

This year, we have moved to one app for district, school, classroom, and family communication. If you have not downloaded the Siloam Springs Schools app, you may be missing important updates and messages.

The app gives you one place to receive:

• District news and announcements
• School updates
• Messages from teachers and staff
• Important reminders and alerts
• Information about events, activities, and more

If you have not downloaded the app yet, please take a few minutes to do so.

The easiest way to use the system is to link your account using your phone number. This helps make sure your student is connected to your account and that you receive messages sent through the system.

If you are having trouble getting into the app or receiving messages, we can help. Contact Central Office, and we will help you get connected and make sure you are receiving the information you need.

If you already have the app, make sure your notifications are turned on so you do not miss important messages.

If you can check your email and send a text message, you can use this system.

Thank you for staying connected with Siloam Springs Schools. We want to make sure you have the information you need to support your student.

September is Attendance Awareness Month, and it's a great opportunity to reflect on something simple but powerful: consistent attendance is one of the strongest indicators of student success.

Research consistently shows that students who attend school regularly perform better academically, build stronger relationships with peers and teachers, and develop the habits that serve them well beyond the classroom.

We understand that illness and unavoidable circumstances arise, and we're grateful for families who communicate with us during those times. What we're asking is simple: when possible, help us protect instructional time by scheduling appointments outside school hours and encouraging your student toward consistent, on-time attendance. By doing so we make sure our Panthers are present, ready to learn, and equipped to succeed every day!

Thank you for being true partners in your child's education. It truly is work that matters!

📏📊 Math meets real life in Mrs. Boyd’s classes! During the first few days of school, students measured their height, arm span, and hand span in centimeters and calculated their age in months. They’ll revisit their measurements later in the year and use their own data to make comparisons.

We can’t wait to see how much they’ve grown by then! 🌱📏😊

🚲 Safety first at LTMS! Our SRO Officer Bonilla spent time with our Health & PE students teaching them important bike safety tips and helping them learn how to stay safe while riding. We appreciate Officer Bonilla for helping our Panthers make smart choices both in and out of school! 🐾
