Shout-out to our amazing board members and volunteers who showed up to put out this spread at the Henry F. Hauser Museum's Exhibit Opening Night!

The night was a huge success with over 100 attendees, some of whom walked away with a signed Sonorasaurus poster!

We were honored to attend the Southwest Association of Buffalo Soldiers Juneteenth flag raising event to commemorate the end of slavery and celebrate the extension of freedom to the African Americans whose backs this country was built on.

We also look forward to continuing to work with our partners at SWABS on the Henry Jones Legacy Park to ensure that the service and sacrifices of Mr. Jones and thousands of Buffalo Soldiers like him are honored in our community. Ready and forward we go!

Today marks 82 years since D-day, one of the most profound days in World history. A turning point that had it been unsuccessful, the world would likely be a much different place. Our little experiment in democracy, now approaching it's 250th anniversary, could perhaps have been swept into the annals of history.

I always feel very reflective on this day. I think about the over 209,000 Allied casualties. About hundreds of thousands more who came home haunted by the atrocities of that day. I had the honor of hearing some who survived D-day speak about it over a decade ago. It was the beginning of the end of WWII, and I cannot help but be thankful that Dwight D. Eisenhower only need read the first of these two statements. The second was what he prepared in case of failure.
