Mark For Mayor - Councilman Mark Rodriguez, Sierra Vista, AZ This page is for the citizens of Sierra Vista, AZ & surrounding areas to engage with me and share info. Mark A.

I love our amazing community and have enjoyed my time on Council and am now running for Mayor of Sierra Vista in 2026! Rodriguez has been a resident of Sierra Vista since 2014 when he arrived for his last Active Duty assignment to Fort Huachuca. He has always volunteered in the local communities he was stationed at throughout his career. He has attended the Sierra Vista Citizens Police Academy as

well as the Sierra Vista Citizens Fire Academy (CFA). He has taken the lead with anything regarding the CFA and ensures the Smoke Detector Program continues to operate with the help of other CFA volunteers. He completed the EMT and Fire I/II courses offered by Cochise College and served as a volunteer firefighter with a local fire department (Whetstone Fire). He is a United States Army Veteran where he served from 1996-2017 in various locations and countries and has two combat deployments to Iraq. He first came to Sierra Vista/Fort Huachuca for his initial training in 1996 and then made many small trips to Sierra Vista throughout his career and returned in 2014 for his final assignment. After his retirement in 2017 he began contracting for the US Government on Fort Huachuca and is currently an instructor on Fort Huachuca. Being a Veteran himself, he understands how vital our Veterans are to our community and often supports the local VFW and American Legion. He also volunteers for events hosted by the Warrior Healing Center and Cochise Serving Veterans (CSV), where he is also the City Liaison to the CSV Board. Being a former EMT and Volunteer Firefighter, he is also a big proponent of our local first responders and the Chair of the Cochise College EMS Advisory Board. He is a huge supporter of our local youth and all their initiatives and is the Council Liaison to the Sierra Vista Youth Council. He is also a big advocate for ensuring that youth of all abilities are included and supported by our community, so one of his favorite organizations to support is the Avengers Inclusion Organization which promotes inclusion for all members of the community with special needs. He is also a big supporter of the Sierra Vista Boys and Girls Club and our local Special Olympics organization. He enjoys spending time with his family, supporting their various sporting activities and hanging out with his grandbabies. His hobbies include traveling, riding motorcycles, recreational shooting, hunting and enjoying live music.

You can catch me in the dunk dank again this Saturday. Come out and try your best to dunk me while supporting Veterans at the same time!

Mark For Mayor - Councilman Mark Rodriguez, is once again putting his campaign on the line—and his seat over the water—at the Stand Up 4 Freedom Dunk Tank.

He showed up last year and took the plunge for the community, and he’s back to prove he’s still not afraid to get soaked for a good cause.

Got opinions? Great. Now back them up with a throw and see if you can send Mark into the tank.

More dunkees announced daily as we count down to the Street Fair—stay tuned!

8 years ago my daughter Marissa broke her arm after an unfortunate incident involving a bicycle and a trash can. 🤦‍♂️ Since she had one arm in a cast, it made doing her own hair difficult. So I did what any Dad would do and I did my best to help her out so she wouldn't have to go to school looking crazy.
Last week she asked me to sign us up for a "Braids with Dad" event and it truly made my heart smile. This being Father's Day weekend, it made it even more special to me. All the Dads and Daughters who attended had a great time this evening at the event and I learned a few new tricks thanks to the instructor Tasha. Then after I finished her hair, we switched places and my daughter braided my hair ❤️
Thanks to Josh Joshua Mayer with Haymore Realty and Candace Sanchez - Loan Officer with Cross Country Mortgage for hosting the event at Ccxxii Twotwothree !
