Bring a book of your choosing to read, sip on a drink if you would like (water counts), and meet some new friends. Stay a bit longer to share your book with others IF you wish.

This summer has been one to remember at the Sierra Madre Public Library! It all began with our incredible Grand Reopening, Ribbon Cutting, and Summer Reading Kickoff, and since then we’ve loved celebrating with our community every step of the way.

From marching in the 4th of July Parade to our Sierra Madre Super Summer Reading Program, family programs, special events, and welcoming so many new and familiar faces through our doors, this season has been filled with unforgettable memories.
To everyone who joined us, volunteered, partnered with us, or simply stopped by—thank you. Your support has made this new chapter for the Library truly special. ❤️

In honor of Library Card Sign-Up month we have a special activity throughout the month of September! We’ve got a “Lost” Library Card hidden somewhere inside the Library in a different location each day. Find the “Lost” Library Card and let the front desk know where you found it for a reward from our prize bowl.

Join us on Thursday, September 3 from 9:00 – 9:45 am for sensory-friendly play designated for neurodivergent children from birth to age 11. Children with sensory processing challenges, autism spectrum disorder, and/or ADHD among others can enjoy the Library in a less stimulating environment. Sensory toys will be set up for exploratory play.

Registration is required to help maintain attendance levels. Walk-ins will be welcomed day-of until maximum attendance number is reached. Call the Library at 626-355-7186 or click the link below to register.
