SIDNEY — The Community Foundation of Shelby County distributed $887,430 in Match Day gifts to 30 participating charities Wednesday at the Historic Sidney Theatre. The event celebrated the 10th Match Day, but the first since switching from December to March.

Grace Lutheran Church of Jackson Center — Match Day 2026
Match Day: Wednesday, March 4
Support Grace Lutheran Church of Jackson Center during the Community Foundation of Shelby County’s Match Day! Every dollar you give will be matched dollar-for-dollar, until the organization reaches their maximum match of $5,000.

Match Day Use:
Grace is excited to use the Match Day dollars to continue to grow our support in many areas. The Tanzania Vulnerable Girls Project consists of identifying and removing young girls that are being sold and abused by relatives, the Tanzania Village Ministry is an outreach evangelism program that provides food, medicine, and education, to people living in poverty in remote villages. Adding LifeWise Academy as an opportunity for our elementary students at Jackson Center to have spiritual education during the school day has been not only very exciting, but is experience rapid growth with over 100% grow year over year. With the continued need for additional Pastors Grace Lutheran is adding a 3rd annual scholarship for NALC seminarian students, and as the need continues to grow for those that have been devastated by weather disasters we are excited to support the NALC in those national efforts.
