If you’ve reached age 65, you’ll be offered the high dose flu vaccine.

What does that mean?

The high dose flu vaccine is better at providing protection against the flu virus for those with waning immune systems, which happens naturally as we age.

We can ONLY offer the high dose vaccine to those 65 years and older.

We have LOTS of opportunities to get your flu shot this season! Call us at 406-433-2207 with any questions, or to schedule an appointment for a vaccine in-house.

We have SO MANY opportunities for adults, children and families to get flu shots this season!

Starting with our Drive Thru Flu Shot Clinic on TUESDAY, September 29 from 10 - 4 at the Sidney Fire Hall for adults only! No appointment necessary. No other vaccines will be given.

We're extending Wednesday clinic hours until 6PM each Wednesday in October to accommodate children and families. Other routine vaccines available. Please call for an appointment.

We'll be offering Flu Shot Fridays again from 9 - 12 on the following Fridays: October 2nd, November 6th, and December 4th! Other routine vaccines available. Please call for an appointment.

We also offer flu shots during our regular clinic hours, by appointment.

Don't forget about our E-waste event this weekend!

Our E-Rase Your E-Waste event is scheduled for September 11th from 3 - 7, and September 12th from 9 - noon at the Richland County Public Works Shop,

And in Fairview, on September 12th from 10 - noon at the water depot.

Drive-Thru Flu Clinic Scheduled Tuesday, September 29th

The Richland County Health Department’s annual Mass Flu Shot Clinic continues as a drive-thru format, scheduled for Tuesday, September 29, from 10:00AM to 4:00PM at the Richland County Fire Hall in Sidney.

The Drive-Thru Clinic will serve adults only, and offers both regular and high-dose flu shots. No other shots will be given during the clinic. No appointment is needed. Flu shots cannot be given to those who have animals in their vehicles. Children may be in the vehicle, but may not receive flu shots. Follow traffic signs to enter the Fire Hall from the North side.

There are no COVID-19 vaccines available at the clinic, and the flu shot does not contain COVID-19 vaccine.

The Health Department carries trivalent, pre-filled syringes that contain no thimerosal under the brand names Flulaval, Fluarix and Fluzone. The new mRNA vaccine will not be available. The price of flu vaccine will vary from $60 to $135, depending on the individual’s age and the type of vaccine used. Medicaid, Medicare and private insurance may be billed for those who bring their cards. For self-pay clients, only cash or check can be accepted.

Flu clinic paperwork may be printed from www.richland.org/health-department or obtained the day of the drive-thru clinic.

If you've got old-style CRT screens, projection TV's, white goods, mercury thermometers, electronics on wheels, or electronics containing refrigerants, oils or acids, you CANNOT e-waste that!

Please no alkaline batteries.

Save the date!

We're coming back with our Drive Thru Flu Shot Clinic!

We've made some changes, be sure to take note!

The date is TUESDAY, September 29, and were offering flu shots between 10 am and 4 PM.

We will continue to offer expanded hours for flu shots for children and families, including late Wednesdays and Flu Fridays! More information to come!

E-waste is an annual event to recycle electronic waste. Up to 60 scarce elements can be founds in complex electronics, as well as reusable plastic, glass and base metals. Recycling electronic waste helps keep these items out of our landfill!
