Mercy Mission House operates largely on individual and church/group donations. Your monetary donation will be used to help staff the shelter 24/7 and to provide much needed programming for our residents to help them because successful and independent.

Interested in using your time and talents to serve others at the Mercy Mission House?

One of the ways you can sign up and serve others is by volunteering in our intake office at the welcome desk. Answering phones and taking messages frees up staff members to work directly with residents. We have many volunteers who use their unique talents to help at MMH - gardening, painting, providing a listening ear, budgeting, life skills classes and so much more. If you are interested, you can sign up for the receptionist times online at www.themercymissionhouse.org and click Get Involved. If you have other ideas, call 937-815-1777 and ask for Jay.

How can you help Mercy Mission House?

Item Donations are always needed. Toilet paper, paper towels, hygiene items, twin size sheets, cleaning items, zip lock bags, trash bags (kitchen and contractor size), cleaning gloves, and more. These items are always in need and used quickly as we serve from 30-40 people per night. We have a wish list on Amazon you can access on our website www.themercymissionhouse.org. How can serve others through Mercy Mission House programming?

DONATE a working old car. Transportation is one of the biggest barriers many homeless people face when trying to work and get to appointments. Our car program has been on hold due to a lack of donated cars. We have several applicants waiting for a vehicle match. In order to be eligible, the applicant has to complete a basic car maintenance course, volunteer 10 hours to Mercy Mission House, have a valid drivers license and insurance before the donated car is signed over to the applicant.

MEALS - We are so thankful for our monthly volunteers who bring food and serve our residents with nutritious food and fellowship. Gardens are a peaceful reminder of new life, growth and God's gifts to nourish us. The shelter garden is starting to show sprouts and we are so excited to see the fruits of the labor of the staff, residents and volunteers who continue to work on the garden.
