Nathan Hunting was Shutesbury town clerk and a library trustee from 1911-1961.

We had a ball on the beach 9/10/11.

It was the Shutesbury 250th Anniversary Beach Ball sponsored by the Selectboard and inspired by the farewell ball in 1938 for the towns that were flooded to make the Quabbin Reservoir.

Townspeople showed up in kayaks, wearing tuxedos and flip flops, portraying people of the past. Beer and wine flowed and the music was the local and danceable Dad Come Home.

It was a joyful community celebration!
