Town of Shubuta Shubuta is a town in Clarke County, Mississippi. Shubuta was incorporated in 1865. About half an hour’s drive south of Meridian on U.S.

Highway 45 one finds Shubuta, Mississippi—Population 675. Small town southern life has long been a prime source of material for southern writers, and Gayle Graham Yates has gone home to the banks of the Chickasawhay River to chronicle the history of her birthplace.

The community working together community will be giving out school supplies Saturday July 24,2021, starting at 11:00am to 1:00pm, across from CityHall in Shubuta.
Hamburgers, Hotdogs, and snacks will be provided.
