🚧 Water Main Project Update – August 17, 2026

The Borough has received the following update from New Jersey American Water regarding ongoing water main improvements.

Beginning August 18, crews will complete the final connections between the new water main on Patterson Avenue and the existing water system at Spruce Avenue, Alameda Court, Allen Avenue, and Glorney Street. Patterson Avenue will be closed from August 18 through August 20 for this work. This is expected to be the last full closure of Patterson Avenue associated with the project.

From August 20 through August 25, crews will complete the remaining service connection work on Patterson Court. Patterson Avenue will remain open during this phase.

Starting August 26, crews will return to the Silverbrook neighborhood to complete approximately 80 service transfers to the new water main. Work will move from Sycamore Avenue toward Route 35, averaging about four homes per day, with work expected to progress through Marc Court, Corn Lane, and Elm Lane.

Residents affected by the upcoming Silverbrook work will receive advance notice through door hangers later this week.

As always, construction schedules are subject to change based on weather and field conditions.

We appreciate everyone's continued patience and cooperation as this important infrastructure improvement project nears completion.
