I am excited to announce that I have decided to run for Board of Selectmen. As Shrewsbury continues to face challenges as we grow, I hope to join fellow Selectmen in facing those challenges. As a twenty year Shrewsbury resident, I have had the opportunity over time to work with almost every municipal and school department within the town. Coupled with serving as a Town Meeting Member for over eigh
t years, I have learned many of the challenges the town faces. Following the news that long time town manager Dan Morgado is retiring and Selectman Henry Fitzgerald announced he would not seek re-election, I realized that this was a pivotal point in Shrewsbury. I believe that now is the time for me to step up and ask for your support in enabling me to add a different and creative perspective as member of the Board of Selectmen. Having worked with many organizations in our town as a community organizer and advocate, I know first hand that our residents have a major stake in the continued successful future of Shrewsbury. As Selectman, I seek to tap into their strength to solve our challenges. I hope to earn your support as we enter a contested race for two Selectman seats on the Tuesday May 2nd Annual Town Election. From now through the election, I will be advocating why I believe I should be elected to join the board.
