The Shrewsbury Volunteer Fire Company is an all volunteer fire company located in Southern York County Pennsylvania. Station 61 houses Engine 61-1, 61-2, Rescue 61, Brush 61, Utility and Car 61. Our department responds into Shrewsbury Borough, Shrewsbury Township and Railroad Boroughs as a first due department. Shrewsbury Volunteers are always looking for additional members to support our fire, rescue and ems services. Engine 61-2 is currently at Glen Rock Hose & Ladder Co. Station 59 awaiting the arrival of the Tunnel to Towers Foundation Runners. The runners will have a meal before leaving Glen Rock enroute to their next stop, Wyndridge Farm as they continue thier run to Ground Zero.
We will post pictures when they arrive in Glen Rock.

This week, the Rescue Committee was back in Lancaster at Fire Line Equipment to perform what will be the final tool fit and placement check for the new Rescue.

Each compartment was loaded with it's designated tools to ensure proper fit and function.

We are very close to the point where she will come home and we will begin rigorous Crew & Driver training, prior to putting the new Rescue in service.
