South Highlands Neighborhood Watch Patrol This page's purpose is to gather feedback from the residents of South Highlands on a possible neighborhood watch program. I am a resident of this neighborhood.

As many of you know, our neighborhood has recently seen an influx in crime. These criminal acts have become a serious problem and are growing more violent in nature. These acts are not committed by the members of the neighborhood, but by outside parties who enter in hopes of taking things that don't belong to them. I have seen these unfortunate incidents first hand. I know what it's like to get

up and leave for work in the morning only to find your car door open and your possessions taken. We should not have to live in fear. The problem we face is simple- people are entering our neighborhood to cause us harm and steal our property. The solution is also simple- make them feel less comfortable doing it. South Highlands Neighborhood Watch Patrol will patrol the neighborhood in a marked, easily identifiable vehicle and serve as a liaison between the residents and the Shreveport Police.

Hello everyone. I made this page a few years ago when I lived in south highlands. I was getting pretty fed up with all the crime so me and a friend played with the idea of purchasing a retired police cruiser and doing a monthly subscription funded neighborhood patrol. The idea was to cruise around the neighborhood every night during the dark hours. We figured out how much time it would take to go down every street, costs associated with employees, vehicle maintenance etc. the idea never really got off the ground due to other more promising business ventures ha. I still think it’s feasible. I’ve heard rumors of an actual south highlands police department in the past. There’s always the argument that you/ I already pay for this service in taxes that go to the police department. Anyway. I’ll probably never do anything with it. But if someone would like to take over this page I’m willing to hand over the controls. If not I’ll probably just delete it. Please comment if you’re interested. Free obviously. Thanks
