The first program we want to highlight within the Human Services, Business Management, and Education career cluster is Teaching Professions!

In this class, students gain insight into more than just the field of education; they get to explore a variety of careers whose focus is working with young people. Creating leaders for a better tomorrow is what it is all about in Teaching Professions! Students who envision future careers directed toward helping young people will gain knowledge as well as work-based experiences and service activities in the areas of childhood development, behavioral theories, professionalism, public speaking/presenting, clinical experiences, and more! Additionally, nine dual enrollment credit hours are offered through this CCTC course.

If you've ever considered working with young people in any capacity, this class is for you!

Congratulations to our 26-27 EMR/EMT students on completing their American Heart Association CPR certifications! There was a 100% pass rate! They did exceptionally well!

SkillsUSA is a national student-led organization that is designed to help students get ready for their future. Students involved in SkillsUSA get opportunities to practice their:

-- workplace skills such as teamwork and communication, and
-- technical skills that are specific to the class they are taking.

SkillsUSA provides invaluable opportunities to help students bridge the gap between the classroom and their eventual workplace.

That’s what Skills is about – making our students career-ready from their first day on the job, whether that’s right after high school, technical school, military service, or college! We aim for students to be able to walk into any job and do that job well.
