Registration is free and open now for participants, so grab your crew and start designing those boats! While boats are to be made only out of cardboard and duct tape, the design is up to you.

Boat rules and registration information are available on the Village website: https://shorewoodil.gov/residents/boat_regatta_bash.php

📣Heads Up Residents: T-Fiber is expanding to Shorewood

This summer, T-Mobile Fiber built by Metronet will begin installing a fiber-optic network in Shorewood as part of the company’s expansion into the area. T-Fiber is a provider of 100% fiber-optic internet and telephone services.

Before construction begins in your area, you’ll get a mailed notice. You may also see yard signs and door hangers with details about the project. Construction work takes place within designated utility easement areas, which is typically located along streets, sidewalks, lot lines, or between properties.

As work gets underway, crews may be working in your neighborhoods or near businesses to prepare for network installation. Crew uniforms and vehicles will be clearly marked with the T-Fiber logo for easy identification.

This project is not sponsored by the Village and residents aren’t required to sign up or connect to these services. We issues permits, require bonds, and may stop work if permit conditions are not followed.

The Village will share construction updates as they become available. For more information about project activities and what to expect during installation, visit metronet.com/construction or call (866) 292-5382.

Lately, we've noticed a few Shorewood residents showing their community spirit as we approach our country's 250th birthday.

We're officially inspired (and loving the red, white, and blue!)

To celebrate this historic milestone, we're having a friendly competition with our neighbors and launching a Fourth of July Decorating Contest.

Patriotic flower displays, lights, bunting, flags, and more are all welcome. To participate, simply send us a photo of your decorations by direct message or submit our quick online form. We'll share entries on July 4 and let the community choose their favorite.

Submit your entry today and help us celebrate!
