As a first time candidate, I dreaded the thought of campaigning. After a summer and fall of connecting with hundreds of Shoreview residents, campaigning is surprising energizing and fun. Thank you to the Shoreview-Arden Hills Rotary for adopting McCollough Park. I met these Rotarian friends who were out for their monthly park clean up today. For bike, walk and roll to school day this week, I got to join this awesome crew of over 30 kids and parents walking to Island Lake Elementary with Mayor Sandy Martin and Councilmember Cory Springhorn. I love riding my fat tire bike to work many days of the year and love it even more that kids are using leg power to get to school.

Thank you Bob Weyandt and the residents at Applewood Pointe for hosting a wonderful Shoreview City Council Candidate Forum tonight. Over 30 residents attended to meet, ask tough questions and to be more informed voters. I appreciated sharing the candidate stage with fellow council member Cory Springhorn. You all make Shoreview an amazing place to call home.
